This article will give a step by step technic to build a fence up and down a any slope made simple. In 3 quick easy steps you can built your fance on any slope.
The first thing needed is to set all your corners, if the fence is 8' then have the post up at lest 6" above that measurement. level, concrete and brace the corner posts in place, you also need to set a post on the tops of all slopes that may go up and down and or on top of any hills, using them as a corner point of reference for this layout in this article. (note you should put the post 3' in the ground) Let the posts set over night so the concrete to set up.
measure up the post and make a mark at the height plus 2" for ground clearance, repeat and get this mark made on all the corner posts. Then tie a string line on your mark and run it from corner to corner, keep the string line pulled as tight as you can. Next measuring and leveling down off the string line get the rest of the posts set to the width of each fence section. Note: remember the line is the top of the fence, when cutting your post add to it the same measurement as you did to the corner posts.
Last after all post are in take down the first string line, then using a chalk line snap a line across all your post, use that line as the top mark for every fence section. Note: if your build your fence out of wood, you will notice that the sections kinda lean one way going up your slope, when you get to the last section needed at your level corner take a top and bottom measurement and cut your section to fit.
