Difference Between Pavers & Sunshine Pavers

There are so many different pavers to choose from for installing a patio that it's hard to pick the one that's best. The Sunshine brand paver is a good all-around paver that offers the conventional look of brick. It is a sturdy paver that will last for many years. There are some differences between Sunshine pavers and other pavers on the market.
  1. Sunshine Pavers

    • Sunshine pavers have a semi-vitreous body that make them fireproof, resistant to abrasion and resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. The material is an unglazed wire-cut textured brick that comes in 1/2-inch and 1-inch thickness. The 1-inch brick is ideal for commercial ventures such as restaurants and hotel lobbies. Use the 4-by-8-by-8.5-inch pavers on your patio and pool. You can lay the pavers in a variety of patterns.

    Belgard Pavers

    • Belgard Pavers are interlocking concrete pavers that offer resistance to extreme low temperatures and de-icing salts. They come in more shapes and colors than Sunshine pavers and are used primarily for driveways and patios. Create designs with the Belgard paver to complement the architectural design of your home.

    Vast Pavers

    • Vast pavers are made of a composite material made from 95 percent recycled materials. The pavers are one-third the weight of Sunshine pavers and are available in permeable or impermeable types. Since you can cut Vast pavers with a wood saw, they provide more flexibility in design.

    Slate Pavers

    • Slate pavers are made of natural stone. Since the pavers are from nature, each stone is different, which makes each installation a one-of-a-kind creation. The stones can be special-ordered in many shapes, including planks to use as flooring. Slate pavers offer more versatility in design than Sunshine pavers, but you cannot get the look of brick.
