Instructions

    • 1

Spray the patio with the power washer, using a low setting at first then upping the setting to achieve a power level that strips the moss without damaging the brick. A power washer of around 2500 pounds per inch should be adequate; over 3000 psi will damage the bricks.

Inspect the patio after the first round with the power washer and spot-wash any patches of moss that still cling to the patio brick using the power washer.

    • 3

Put on your rubber gloves, face mask and goggles and mix a bucket of water with 10 percent chlorine bleach. This will kill the remaining moss spores in the brick and prevent regrowth.

Scrub the patio with the chlorine bleach solution and a hard-bristled scrub brush to remove the final traces of moss.
