How to Install a Deck Hanger

Deck hangers are essentially strong metal hooks you attach to the railings or walls of a deck and which can then act as the support for hanging plants or light fixtures. Hangers come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are typically installed using a simple clamp-on device.

     Insert the deck hanger post into the clamp-on base.

     Open the clamp-on base wide enough so that it will fit over the deck railing or post at the desired location.

     Position the deck hanger on the railing or post as desired, and then tighten the clamp down until it is securely fastened.
