Brush a crack that appears in either the walls or floor of the 6-foot concrete porch with a wire brush until you have brushed out the loose concrete. Angle a flat-head screwdriver into the crack and tap it gently with a hammer to chisel out the crack until it opens wider at the bottom than the top. Brush the crack out again to remove the concrete you chiseled from the crack.
Spread leveling compound over the crack with a putty knife. Work the compound down into the crack with the knife tip, and fill the crack until it's flush with the solid concrete.
Let the compound settle into the crack for four to five hours. Check the crack to make sure the compound still sits level with the concrete. If it doesn’t, add compound to the crack to bring it up to level.
Allow the compound to dry for the amount of time recommended by the manufacturer once it sits level with the concrete surface. Sand the compound down until it feels completely level.
Pick all large pieces of concrete out of a space where a chunk is missing in a concrete porch. Brush the hole out with a wire brush to remove the smaller concrete pieces left in the hole.
Place wood boards around the concrete porch if a chunk is missing from a corner or edge of the porch. Hold the boards in place with concrete blocks stacked against them.
Apply premixed concrete to the area of the porch with the missing chunk of concrete with a trowel. Slide a straightedge along the top of the filled area to remove all excess concrete. Let the concrete dry for 48 hours.
