Fit the Titan hole saw center guide on the bottom of the 4-inchi-by-4-inch wooden post and use it to position the hole saw attachment on your drill against the center of the post. Drill a pilot hole approximately 1/4-inch into the wood. Remove the hole saw center guide and continue drilling straight into the post to a depth of approximately 2 inches. Set the drill with the hole saw attachment aside. Remove any sawdust or other debris from the resulting cut.
Insert the tube of the post anchor into the cut and press it into the post as far as it will go. Use a sledge hammer to drive the post anchor straight into the post until the anchor is flush with the end of the post. Place 5/16-inch washers onto four 5/16-inch-by-3½-inch lag screws. Insert one of the lag screws into one of the four interior holes and drive the screw into place using a ratchet or power screwdriver with a 5/16-inch socket. Then repeat the process with the other three lag screws.
Place the post with the Titan post anchor into place on the concrete surface. Place a carpenter's level vertically against the side of the post to check for level. If the post is not level, place galvanized shims under the low side until you achieve level. Make sure you check all sides of the post for level. Mark the location of your mounting holes with a marker. Set the post aside.
Drill pilot holes into each of the mounting hole marks using a 1/4-inch concrete drill bit. Remove any concrete dust and debris from the mounting holes. Reposition the post with the Titan post anchor, making sure to place the galvanized shims in the proper location. Insert a 3½-inch concrete screw into one of the holes and drive it into place with a power screwdriver. Repeat the process with the other seven concrete screws.
