How to Adjust Heat on a Weber Gas Grill

Unlike a charcoal grill, a gas grill allows you to control the level of heat across the surface area of the grill with considerable precision. With a charcoal grill, the only way to control the heat level is to laboriously add or remove briquets. With a Weber gas grill, all you need to do is turn one or both burner knobs in a particular direction.

Instructions

    • 1

Set both the right and left burner knobs to the "Light" setting to ignite both burners.

    • 2

Turn the burner control knob for the right burner to either the "H" marker for high, the "M" marker for medium, or the "L" marker for low heat. Each marker has a midway setting, meaning that you can set the knob anywhere between two markers to achieve a mix between the two settings.

    • 3

Adjust the burner control knob for the left burner using the same process. With both burners set to "H," the grill will generate the most possible heat. Adjust each knob as needed to average the heat output of both burners to cook your food evenly.
