Spray the pre-treatment solution directly on the stain until the stain is soaked. Leave the solution on the stain for one to five minutes, and rub the stain with your finger to break up the stain. Soak the stain with white vinegar as an alternative to commercial laundry pre-treatment sprays.
Set the washing machine to the warmest temperature recommended on the fabric's cleaning label, and set the wash cycle to normal. During the normal cycle, the washer's agitator assists in removing the stain through aggressive movement.
Add a cap full of laundry detergent to the washer's water and insert the clothing. Add a cap full of bleach if the clothing can be bleached, or add 2 tbsp of baking soda to the wash for a natural bleach alternative.
Remove the clothing immediately after the wash cycle and hang the clothing to dry. Tumble dry the clothing or hang the clothing to air dry, depending on the clothing's cleaning label.
Pour 1/4 cup of liquid detergent in a blender, and add 1/3 cup of water to the blender.
Blend the ingredients until they create a foamy solution. Pour the solution in a spray bottle.
Spray the carpet's stain with the solution and dampen a soft cleaning cloth with white vinegar.
Wipe up the cleaning solution on the carpet with the vinegar-dampened cloth to remove the stain.
Blot the spot with water, and pat the spot with a dry cloth to absorb moisture.
