Turpentine is a clear, liquid solvent that is derived from the rosin of trees. One of the multiple uses of turpentine is in the cleaning and restoration of wood surfaces. If you have stains on your wooden cabinets that won't come off with soap and water alone, turpentine may be an effective product for removing them. Treating your cabinets with turpentine also helps to reduce the buildup of oil, wax and polish.
