Instructions

    • 1

Prepare your adhesive remover. Although several products are available on the market that will remove adhesives, you can make a homemade adhesive remover as well. A baking soda and water paste, vinegar and cooking spray can all be used to remove adhesive.

    • 2

Apply your adhesive remover to the Scotch Polyester adhesive residue and let it set for two or three minutes. The adhesive remover will loosen the adhesive residue so that it is easier to remove without harming the surface the residue is on.

    • 3

Dampen a clean washcloth, and wipe the adhesive residue of the surface it was stuck on. Use small, circular motions to remove the adhesive thoroughly and protect the surface.

    • 4

Use a towel or dry cloth to dry the area. If any residue remains, then apply more of your adhesive remover and repeat steps two through four.
