How to Get Rid of Stains on a Non-Stick Pan

Nonstick pans are coated with a substance that reduces the need to use oil while cooking. Because food doesn't stick, nonstick pans are easier to clean, too. One downside to nonstick pans is that the coating is easily scratched by metal cooking or cleaning utensils. Although stains on a nonstick pan aren't a regular occurrence, once the coating is scratched the pan becomes more prone to stuck-on food and grease. You can get rid of stains on your nonstick pan, without damaging the coating, by using cleaning supplies and techniques that are safe for this type of pan.
