Scrape excess chocolate residue off the white bedspread using a spoon. Extract as much chocolate as possible.
Rub pre-wash stain remover onto the lingering brown residue. Wait a minute for the remaining chocolate to absorb the product. Do not rinse the area.
Launder the bedspread according to its washing label. Use the water temperature and washing cycle setting recommended by the bedspread manufacturer. Wash the bedspread with laundry detergent (2 ounces is standard) as you normally would.
Check the bedspread for remaining chocolate. If the bedspread’s fabric contains any chocolate, launder the bedspread as previously. However, substitute 2 ounces of chlorine laundry bleach for the laundry detergent.
Hang the bedspread outdoors or drape it over a drying rack. Let the bedspread thoroughly air-dry.
