Blot the paint spot with a rag until you can't lift it from the carpet. Switch to a clean part of the rag with each blot.
Wet a clean rag with warm, soapy water. Sponge the soapy water onto the stain, working from the outer edge of the spot toward the center. Blot with a dry rag to soak up moisture.
Continue sponging on the soapy water, then soaking it up with a dry rag until you can't lift the paint from the carpet anymore.
