Instructions

    • 1

Scoop marinara sauce off the carpet with a spoon. Remove as much sauce as possible.

    • 2

Blot the carpet with paper towels to absorb moisture and oil from the marinara sauce.

    • 3

Pour rubbing alcohol onto a clean sponge. Squeeze the sponge to remove excess liquid.

    • 4

Sponge the carpet fibers with the rubbing alcohol to break down remaining grease and lift the stain. Rinse the sponge frequently, applying more rubbing alcohol as needed.

    • 5

Fill a bucket with 1 quart of warm water. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of dish detergent.

    • 6

Moisten a clean cloth with the detergent solution. Gently blot the carpet to remove any remaining marinara sauce stain.

    • 7

Spritz the carpeting with warm water from a spray bottle. Press a clean, dry cloth into the carpet to remove the detergent solution. Repeat this step until all the detergent is rinsed out.

    • 8

Let the carpeting air-dry. Fluff the fibers with your fingers to blend the nap.
