Removing Magic Marker from a Porcelain Tub

Magic marker stains on a porcelain tub may seem permanent, but most or all of their ink can be removed with a few household items and a good amount of elbow grease. The stain removal method often works for permanent marker ink on a porcelain counter top or sink, too. Before you know it, those magic marker stains will be off your porcelain.

Instructions

    • 1

Put on rubber gloves and a dust mask. Open the porcelain tub room's windows to ventilate the space because you may spend a significant amount of time cleaning the stains.

    • 2

Pour denatured alcohol onto a scrub sponge, and use the sponge to scrub vigorously over the magic marker stains on the porcelain tub. Scrub until the magic marker stains are gone.

    • 3

Wet the porcelain tub using damp paper towels to remove the denatured alcohol. Wipe the tub with dry paper towels.
