Olive trees are slow-growing trees that can reach about 40 feet in height. These trees have strong wood and can resist the worst conditions such as rocky soil, drought and insect infestations. It's not uncommon to encounter olive trees that have been alive for hundreds of years. Having an olive tree on your property truly is a gift, as olive trees provide lamp oil, moisturizer and food. However, fallen olives can stain wood porches and patios in an unsightly manner. Luckily, you don't have to live with such stains, but can remove them strategically.
