Scrape as much of the corn syrup off the walls as you can with a rubber or plastic spatula. Wipe the corn syrup off the spatula into a garbage bag.
Put on rubber gloves.
Fill a bucket with hot water.
Submerge a thick rag or sponge in the bucket. Squeeze the rag to remove most of the dripping water.
Wipe the pantry wall, beginning at the bottom of the spill and working up toward the top of the spill. Move the wet rag in one direction. Do not scrub back-and-forth or in a circular motion because you will spread the corn syrup over the pantry walls.
Rinse the sponge or rag in the bucket of hot water to remove the corn syrup.
Squeeze out excess water and wipe the wall again, starting at the bottom of the spill, working toward the top of the spill. Rinse the sponge or rag, and repeat the process until the pantry wall no longer feels sticky and you can no longer see the corn syrup.
Wipe the wall with a dry rag.
Dump the water and refill the bucket with hot water. Submerge the rag in the water and begin working on the next corn syrup-covered wall. Continue to wipe the walls, one wall at a time, repeatedly with a hot, wet rag or sponge until you remove all corn syrup from all pantry walls.
Spray a rag with an all-purpose cleaner and scrub the pantry wall two to three times to remove any remaining tackiness or corn syrup stains.
