How to Clean Balsamic Vinegar Out of the Carpet

Although white vinegar is commonly used to remove a variety of stains, balsamic vinegar can stain carpet or fabric. Fortunately, you can remove balsamic vinegar from your carpet with the help of white vinegar. As with most stains, if you can address the balsamic vinegar stain soon after it occurs, you will have the best results removing it.

  • White vinegar

Instructions

      Use a cloth to soak up the balsamic vinegar left in the carpet.

      Mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of dish soap into 2 cups of warm water.

      Soak a clean cloth in this mixture, and press it over the balsamic vinegar stain in the carpet. Continue to apply this mixture over the stain until it is thoroughly wet.

      Wring the cloth out, and press it against the stained carpet to soak up the cleaning liquid from the carpet.

      Continue applying the cleaning solution to the carpet and blotting it up until the stain has disappeared.

      Rinse by applying cold water to the area, then blotting up the water with a cloth.
