How to Get Tea Stains Out of a Silver Tea Pot

Silver is a soft precious metal commonly used to make jewelry, tableware and teapots. Silver teapots require gentle cleaning products and methods to maintain a smooth, shiny finish. Silver scratches and tarnishes easily when exposed to humidity, oils, certain foods and abrasive materials. Silver polishing creams and even denture tablets can remove tea stains, tarnish and other stains from silver teapots without causing damage. Proper storage and cleaning methods can maintain the beauty and shine of silver teapots.
