Give dirty tennis shoes a liquid bleach soak. Fill a large container or sink with a gallon of cool water and 1/4 cup regular liquid bleach. Place the shoes in the liquid for five minutes, then toss them in the washing machine. Wash in hot water with detergent and 3/4 cup bleach.
Apply a bleach cleaning spray to your tennis shoes if you don't have time for a bleach soak. Spray the dirty areas to soak the shoe, then use a cleaning brush to scrub the material in a circular motion. When done, rinse the shoes off with water or throw in the washing machine.
Remove spots and stains from white shoes by using a bleach pen. Apply the bleach gel to stains on your tennis shoes with the fine-tip of the pen, then rub it in and let it sit for five minutes. Wash in hot water using detergent and 3/4 cup liquid bleach for best results.
Try oxygen bleach for a more gentle cleaning option. Mix the oxygen bleach with water until it turns into a paste, then apply this to the tennis shoes. Scrub stained areas with a toothbrush until clean, then rinse with water.
