Removing Grape Juice Stains From Upholstery

Grape juice adds hydration and vitamins to your body, but it creates a sticky, purple mess when you spill it on your upholstered furniture. You must respond quickly to a grape juice stain to avoid having the juice soak into the cushions. Instructions

    • 1

Press paper towels into the upholstery to absorb grape juice. Discard soiled paper towels, and continue this process until no more grape juice transfers to the paper towels.

    • 2

Fill a small bowl with 1 tbsp. of white vinegar and 2/3 cup of rubbing alcohol.

    • 3

Dampen a clean cloth with the rubbing alcohol and vinegar solution. Blot the grape juice stain to moisten it.

    • 4

Lay a dry cloth over the grape juice stain on your upholstery, and press down on the cloth to absorb the stain. Alternate Steps 3 and 4 until the stain is completely removed.

    • 5

Rinse your upholstered furniture by sponging it with a damp cloth, and then blot the surface dry with a dry cloth. Allow the upholstery to air-dry completely.
