How to Get Apple Juice Out of the Carpet

Drinking apple juice over the carpet makes the flooring prone to apple juice stains, which generally appear as a yellowish tinge on light-colored carpet. It quickly absorbs apple juice and eventually becomes crusty, and the longer apple juice remains on the carpet, the more insoluble the stain becomes. Treat the pale juice stain rapidly using common household supplies.

Instructions

    • 1

Blot up fresh apple juice using white paper towels. If the apple juice has dried, scrape off the crusty particles using a dull knife.

    • 2

Pour 1/4 tsp. of liquid dish soap into a container, and stir in 1 qt. of water to concoct a soapy solution.

    • 3

Dampen a rag with the solution, and blot the apple juice stain with it. Dissolve as much apple juice stain as possible.

    • 4

Add water to a spray bottle, and spray the soapy carpet with the water.

    • 5

Blot the excess water off the carpet using paper towels.

    • 6

Inspect the carpet for stubborn apple juice stains. If any remains, dampen a clean rag with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide.
