Blot up fresh acrylic paint using white paper towels. If the paint has hardened, scrape off the dried paint fragments with a spoon.
Moisten the remaining acrylic paint with cool water from a spray bottle. Let the paint stain soak for one minute.
Blot up the moistened paint with fresh paper towels. Continue blotting until no further paint transfers onto the paper towels.
Examine the furniture upholstery for lingering paint. If any traces remain, combine equal parts of dish-washing liquid and cool water in a container.
Dampen a sponge in the solution. Dab the soapy sponge against the fabric until the stain dissolves.
Moisten a cloth with cool water. Apply the cloth to the cleaned area until the soap is thoroughly removed. Do not leave any detergent residue in the upholstery.
Blot the wet area with a towel to remove excess moisture.
