Instructions

    • 1

Allow the French oven to cool before you start to clean it. Fill the cookware completely with warm water, and soak any baked-on residue for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash the piece as normal with a sponge and dish soap to remove loose material.

    • 2

Refill the oven with hot, soapy water. Allow it to soak for 20 minutes. Scrub the surface of the French oven with a nylon-bristle brush to remove food residue. Rinse and refill the oven with clean water occasionally to see if any burnt food remains. Continue to scrub until the residue is gone.

    • 3

Rinse the French oven, and dry it with a clean towel.

    • 4

Apply Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Cookware Cleaner to any burnt food that remains. Leave the cleaner on the surface for five to 10 minutes. Wipe the cleaner away with a clean cloth, scrubbing when necessary to lift the burnt material from the enamel.

    • 5

Repeat until the burnt food is lifted. Wash the oven with dish detergent, water and a sponge, then rinse and dry it.
