How to Remove Scuff Marks From Mirabella Formica

Mirabella is a type of Formica flooring that resembles hardwood. It is wear and stain resistant and can resemble walnut, chestnut or Brazilian mahogany. Formica is a type of synthetic flooring that has a smooth finish. It, like all types of floors, can get scuffed from shoes and the rubber caps that protect furniture legs. Remove these scuffs with products and tools that won't damage the Mirabella Formica.

Things You'll Need

  • Eraser
  • Cloths
  • Formica floor cleaner
  • Nail-polish remover
  • Water-displacement spray

Instructions

    • 1

      Rub an eraser over the scuff mark. This will remove most new or light scuff marks.

      Soak a cloth in water if the stain is still visible.

      Work one drop of Formica floor cleaner into the scuff mark with the wet cloth.

      Blot nail-polish remover directly on the scuff mark with a cloth if you can still see it. Work until the spot is completely gone.

      Spray water-displacement spray over the scuff mark and let it sit for 10 minutes if you can still see the mark.

      Wipe the spray off along with the scuff mark.
