How to Get Scuff Marks Off Laminate Wood Floor

Laminate wood floors add the look of hardwood to a room without the expense. The floors don't require a lot of maintenance and usually resist spills, stains and scuffs. The occasional scuff mark on laminate flooring might send you into a panic, but the marks won't damage the floor if you remove them properly. Once you remove the scuff mark from the floor, encourage family members and guests to take off their shoes after they enter the home.

Scrub the scuff marks with a dry paper towel, rubbing gently.

    • 3

Remove remaining scuff marks from the floor with a pencil eraser. Sweep up eraser shavings with a broom.

Remove stubborn scuff marks by pouring 1/2 cup of baking soda into a bowl and slowly adding water until you make a thick paste. Apply the paste to the floor with a sponge and rub on the mark until you remove the stain. Rinse off the paste with a damp washcloth.
