How to Clean Calcium Deposits From Marble

Flaky, white residue may occasionally develop on marble surfaces in the kitchen or bathroom. This residue is often referred to as a calcium deposit or as hard water scale. The film is the result of minerals such as calcium in the water reacting with chemicals in the surrounding environment. Removing calcium deposits keeps marble looking shiny and clean, but you must use gentle cleaning products to avoid damaging the surface.
