How to Get Dye From My Pants Out of a White Leather Couch

You finally scored a date with the man of your dreams and you're walking on clouds, nothing can bring you down now. You scored a great pair of midnight blue skinny jeans off the clearance rack, your normally uncooperative hair looks great and this is promising to be an amazing night. You come home from what might have been the best date ever -- life is good. That is, it was good until you saw the big blue spot on the couch that your jeans left behind. But don't let that ruin your night, make that spot disappear before your second date.

Instructions

    • 1

Combine one cup water with one tablespoon mild laundry detergent in a small bowl. Agitate the water with your hands until suds are formed.

    • 2

Apply the suds to the dye stain using a soft cloth. Gently rub the stained area along the lie of the leather, working from the outside of the stain in. The lie is the natural pattern of the leather.

    • 3

Rinse the area with warm water and a clean soft cloth. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 if necessary. Pat dry the area dry with a towel.

    • 4

Apply a leather conditioner to the entire couch. This will help to combat and prevent future staining.
