Wipe off excess oil with a clean, dry cloth.
Wet a clean cloth in hot, soapy water, and wring out the excess moisture.
Wipe off the oily residue with the soapy cloth.
Rinse the cloth with water, and wipe the area again.
Dry the spot with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Sprinkle baking soda over the stain to absorb excess moisture. Wait 10 to 15 minutes.
Brush off the baking soda and oil residue with a toothbrush. Then, vacuum the residue using a brush attachment.
Moisten a cloth with dry cleaning solvent, and use it to dab the spot. Blot the area with a clean, dry cloth, and continue dabbing with the solvent and blotting until you don't see any more oil transferring to the cloths.
Mix 1 tbsp. of white vinegar and 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap into 2 cups of warm water. Dip a cloth into this solution, and dab the area.
Blot the area dry once more using a clean, dry cloth.
