How to Get Grease Off a Satin Finish Wall

Satin finishes may be an elegant solution for well-lit, low-traffic zones such as bedrooms and living rooms, but their low-gloss surface makes them difficult to keep clean. Water and chemical cleaners can easily remove the glossy finish from your satin walls making them appear matte like flat paint. Preventing a catastrophe is always easier than fixing one, so don't use satin paint in kitchens, bathrooms or any other room prone to messes. If you can't avoid a greasy mess, however, treat the stain like wax on a satin weave.
