How to Get Vaseline Out of a Bed Sheet

Vaseline petroleum jelly combines paraffin, waxes and mineral oils to create a gel that moisturizes skin. Vaseline is oily, so when you find it on your bed sheet it might look nearly impossible to remove. Whether the spot is big or small, Vaseline can be removed from your bed sheet if you treat the stain promptly and the right way.

Instructions

    • 1

Scrape the Vaseline from the sheet with a spoon if it is in a glob. Do this carefully so it does not spread.

    • 2

Put a few drops of heavy-duty laundry detergent on the Vaseline stain. Rub it in gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush.

    • 3

Rinse the affected area of the sheet well under cool water. Apply a laundry stain removal spray to the area and launder with laundry detergent in the hottest water recommended on the care label of the sheets.
