Put 3 cubes of ice in a plastic bag. Hold the bag over the crayon stain until the wax in the stain hardens completely.
Scrape off the now brittle crayon stains with the edge of a metal spoon. Don’t use any sharp objects as you can easily damage the upholstery.
Spray water displacement spray on a clean cloth and blot it over the remaining stain. Blot until the stain is soaked. This will help remove the color as well as any remaining wax residue. Test this process first, though, on a small area of the couch.
Tamp the stain with the cloth and apply more water displacement spray directly over the area.
Apply one drop of liquid dish soap over the area and continue tamping to work the stain out of the upholstery. Use liquid dish soap that doesn’t contain any dyes as these can easily show up on white upholstery.
Repeat the process until the entire stain is gone or until you can’t remove any more of it.
Blot dry cleaning solution over the area until the stain is gone.
Press a clean and dry cloth into the couch to soak up as much of the cleaning solution as possible. Mist the area with water from a spray bottle and blot it dry. Repeat the process until the couch is clean, rinsed and relatively dry.
