Instructions

  Wet a towel with rubbing alcohol. Dab the hair dye with the rubbing alcohol until it lightens. This may be enough to remove small spills.

  Mix 1/4 cup of dish detergent with 1 cup of hot water. Blot the hair dye with the soapy water to lift up the stain.

  Moisten a Magic Eraser and squeeze out any excess water, recommends the website Fun Times Guide. Scrub the hair dye stain with the eraser, adding more water if it dries out.

  Cover the hair dye stain with a peroxide-based cleanser. Let the cleanser sit on the stain for several minutes, then wipe the stain with a wet cloth.

  Mix 2 cups of water with 1 cup of vinegar. Cover the hair dye with this mixture and scrub the stain with a wet towel.
