Removing Brown Spots From Stainless Steel

Stainless steel cookware, appliances and sinks are usually low-maintenance choices in the kitchen. The steel resists most permanent stains, but heat can leave a brown burn mark on the surface of stainless steel. You can't wipe these marks away with a wet rag, even though they aren't permanent. Buffing out the heat mark properly returns the stainless steel to its former shine without causing scratches or other permanent damage to the surface.
