How to Clean Scentsy Spills on Hardwood

Scentsy is a brand name for a company that manufactures small wax bricks that melt in warmers to scent your home. The warmers are designed to help prevent spills but sometimes accidents happen. If melted Scentsy wax falls onto your hardwood floor, the wax can easily get into the grain of the wood. Scraping the wax away leaves quite a bit of residue and can damage your floor. Because Scentsy wax has a low melting point, you can easily clean up a spill with your iron.

Scissors
Paper towels or paper bags
Iron
Clean towel
White vinegar

Instructions

  Cut open brown paper bags with a pair of scissors or spread several paper towels over the Scentsy spill.

  Set your iron to "Warm." Scentsy wax has a low melting point so your iron does not need to be extremely hot.

  Run the iron gently over the paper towels or the paper bag. Gradually, you will see the Scentsy wax accumulate on the paper. As the wax fills the paper, change out the wax-filled paper towels or paper bags for fresh ones.

  Continue until the wax has been completely removed. If there is any sticky residue from the wax on the hardwood floor, dampen a clean towel with white vinegar and rub gently until the residue is removed.
