Add three or four tablespoons of baking soda to a cup and just enough water to make a paste the consistency of toothpaste. Mix them well.
Apply the paste to the stain and scrub with a soft scrub brush.
Wipe the area with a wet cloth to rinse off the baking soda paste. Continue with the next step if the stain remains.
Squirt a little liquid dish soap on the wine stain.
Scrub the area with a soft scrub brush.
Wipe the area with a damp cloth to remove all the soap and dry.
Moisten a towel with denatured alcohol or liquid household bleach. Do this if the stain remains.
Wipe the stain with the liquid and allow it to set for one minute.
Wash the area with fresh water to remove the denatured alcohol or liquid household bleach.
Clean the area with commercial laminate countertop cleaner, if any stain remains. Follow the manufacturer’s application instructions.
