How to Remove Burnt Grease Spots on Stove

No matter what type of stove top you have, a greasy stain on it is an obvious eyesore. Untreated grease spatters and spills can easily become burned onto the stove, which makes them a challenge to remove. The grease can be scraped off, but that could leave scratches behind. The gentlest solutions are often the best when it comes to removing greasy stains from a stove.

  • Grease cutting dish soap
  • Sponge
  • Baking soda
  • Clean cloth

Instructions

      Turn all burners to off and allow them to cool.

      Mix 2 tsp. of dish soap into 1 cup of warm water.

      Dip a sponge into the soapy water. Wipe the sponge over the grease stain until the stain is saturated.

      Allow the soap mix to sit on the stains for at least 15 minutes. Apply more soapy water as needed to keep the stains damp.

      Sprinkle baking soda over the dampened grease spots and scrub the area with a damp sponge.

      Dip a clean cloth in white vinegar. Rinse the area with that cloth to eliminate leftover soap and grease.
