Leather is a durable covering for shoes and boots that, if properly taken care of, will last for many years. The conditioning process of leather allows it to repel many stains and allow the boots to be made good as new with buffing and a small amount of polish. However, some stains, such as oils from cooking products, can mar the finish and can potentially ruin the boots. Cornstarch can be used to absorb the stain and return the boots back to their natural luster.
