Removing Toothpaste From Cabinets

Younger children who are just learning how to brush their teeth may accidentally get toothpaste on bathroom sinks and cabinets -- and it's fair to say adults do it too. Toothpaste, an abrasive, can stain a cabinet or other furnishings if it is left to sit. Fortunately, you can easily remove toothpaste from cabinets, as well as any stains that have been left behind.

Dampen a paper towel and wipe the toothpaste off the cabinet. This is all you'll need to do if the toothpaste is fresh.

Set the wet paper towel over the toothpaste if it is not fresh. Let the paper towel sit for 10 minutes to remoisten the hardened toothpaste. Wipe away the toothpaste.

    • 3

Create a cleaning paste using 2 tbsp. of baking soda and 1 tsp. of water. Spread this paste over any remaining toothpaste or toothpaste stains. Let the cleaning paste sit for 15 minutes.

    • 4

Scrub the cleaning paste over the toothpaste with a soft-bristle brush for 30 seconds.

    • 5

Wipe the toothpaste stain and homemade cleaning paste away with a white rag that has been wet with hot water and 1 drop of dish soap.
