How to Get Poligrip Off the Wall

Poligrip is an adhesive that is used to keep dentures securely in place. However, if the denture adhesive accidentally gets onto a wall, it will attract dust, creating a dirty spot. You can remove Poligrip from the surface by using common household supplies.

Instructions

    • 1

Wipe the adhesive with a paper towel to remove as much as possible. Discard the paper towel.

    • 2

Moisten a cloth with hot water and two drops of dish-washing detergent to create a sudsy foam.

    • 3

Hold the hot, soapy cloth against the Poligrip on the wall for two to three minutes. When the adhesive softens, wipe it off the wall with the cloth.

    • 4

Use silicone spray on any remaining denture adhesive. Allow a few minutes for the spray to work. Wipe away the residue with a dry cloth.

    • 5

Clean the area with warm water and a soapy cloth. Moisten another cloth with water and wipe the wall to remove any soap residue. Dry the surface with a clean cloth.
