How to Remove Puff Paint From Vinyl

Puff paint is a water-based type of paint that is often used on fabrics as well as flat surfaces. This type of paint, which is manufactured by various companies, dries into three-dimensional artistic creations. If you happen to get puff paint on vinyl, you can remedy the problem by using some simple cleaning techniques that will remove the paint without damaging the vinyl surface.

      Scrape off any excess paint by gently chipping it away using a razor blade. Hold the blade at a 45-degree angle and scrape only the paint and not the vinyl surface.

      Mix 1 cup of warm water and 1 cup of white vinegar. Add several squirts of liquid dish soap as well.

      Wet a soft cloth with the solution and use it to saturate the puff paint stain.

      Wipe the paint residue away with a clean, dry cloth. Rewet the stain with the moist cloth if necessary and wipe away any remaining stain.
