Instructions

    • 1

Put on oven mitts as soon as the spill occurs.

    • 2

Turn off the cooktop, and carefully remove the pot. If you don’t have oven mitts, carefully remove the pot with pot holders or thick towels.

    • 3

Place the hot pan on an insulated surface that won’t be damaged by the heat, such as a wooden cutting board.

    • 4

Scatter a small amount of salt onto the spill to soak up some of the liquid. Wait for the cooktop to cool before you continue.

    • 5

Apply several drops of a ceramic cooktop cleaner directly to the stain. Leave the cleaner on the stain for five minutes, or the time recommended on the cleaner label.

    • 6

Scrub off the cleaner and stains with a soft rag.

    • 7

Rinse the cooktop with a damp rag.

    • 8

Dry the cooktop with a soft kitchen towel.
