How to Get Sharpie Out of a Couch

Sharpie markers contain pigments that are fade-resistant. Sharpie stains are difficult to remove from upholstery, but you can eliminate the stain if you act quickly. Leaving the Sharpie stain on the couch allows the pigments to soak deep into the fabric. Instead of covering the stain with throw pillows, remove it with items that you have around the home. Work carefully in removing the Sharpie stain carefully to prevent damage to the couch fabric.
