How to Remove Grape Popsicle From Leather

Grape popsicles can make a very visible stain when dropped onto leather furniture or clothing. Since leather can't be tossed into the washing machine, other stain removal techniques are necessary. Fast treatment is the key to eliminating the stain completely because the longer it remains on the material the deeper it is likely to be. The spot left behind by a grape popsicle isn't oily, which makes it easier to remove than many other types of stains.

Instructions

    • 1

Moisten a microfiber cloth with cool water.

    • 2

Apply leather cleaner to the cloth. Try a mild laundry detergent if leather cleaner isn't available.

    • 3

Rub the cleaner or detergent into the stain, beginning at the outside edge and working inward. Avoid using a circular rubbing motion.

    • 4

Rinse the cloth and rub over the area carefully to remove the cleaner or detergent. Squeeze as much moisture as possible from the cloth when rinsing so that the leather isn't dampened any more than necessary.

    • 5

Spray the stained area with aerosol hairspray if any discoloration remains. Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe the hairspray off.

    • 6

Repeat the steps as many times as necessary to completely get rid of the grape popsicle stain.
