Cut an old, clean cotton T-shirt into washcloth-sized squares.
Place 1 tsp. hair conditioner in a bowl and add 1/2 cup warm water. Stir the two together to dilute the conditioner. Add two drops of essential oil to make a scented dryer sheet.
Soak one T-shirt square in the static-eliminating solution. Wring out the excess liquid. Place the homemade dryer sheet in the dryer, along with your clothing.
Store the rest of the static-eliminating liquid in a plastic container to use as needed. Alternatively, soak more T-shirt squares in the liquid until all the liquid is used. Hang the squares to dry and use them as needed.
Pour 1 cup of undiluted white vinegar into a bowl.
Submerge and old, clean cotton sock in the vinegar. Allow the sock to become completely wet, then wring out excess vinegar so the sock is merely damp.
Put the vinegar-dampened sock in the dryer with your clothing to freshen the clothes and eliminate static. Store the remaining vinegar for the next load of laundry.
