Tips for How to Clean With a 20 Mule Team

Laundry Booster

• Use 20 Mule Team as a water conditioner, deodorizer, stain remover and laundry booster. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cups to each load of laundry with your regular detergent. Wash with the proper water temperature on the appropriate wash cycle for your fabric.

Baby Items

• Soak and wash baby items in 20 Mule Team to help remove odors and stains. Soak items in 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team for each 5 gallon bucket of baby items. Add another 1/2 cup to your regular amount of detergent and wash with hot water.

Kitchen Cleaning

• 20 Mule Team can be used to clean several things around the kitchen. Use a bucket of hot water and 1/2 cup 20 Mule Team to soak and rinse fine china pieces. Mix 1 tbsp. with 1 qt. hot water to clean out your refrigerator and remove odors and spills. You can also use this solution to clean your garbage can. Spread 1/4 cup on the bottom of your dishwasher and run a normal cycle. This will remove mineral deposits and residue. You can sprinkle 2 or 3 tbsp. down your garbage disposal and let it sit for 15 minutes before flushing it with water. This helps get rid of food waste odors.

Bathroom

• Sprinkle some of the powder on a moist sponge and use it to clean bathtubs, counters, tiles and shower surfaces. You can also use 20 Mule Team for cleaning your toilet bowl. Pour 1/4 cup of 20 Mule Team into your toilet bowl and mix it around with your toilet brush. Allow it to stand 30 minutes or more. Scrub the toilet with the toilet brush and flush.

Carpet Cleaning

• Mix 1/2 cup 20 Mule Team with 2 cups water. Use a sponge to work the mixture into a stain or spill on your carpet. Let the mixture to sit for 30 minutes before your shampoo the area. This method will also work for upholstery.
