Read the care label on your comforter. It not only lists the care instructions, it lists the type of filler that is in the bedding. Since synthetic suede is known for ease in cleaning, it is unlikely that the comforter requires dry cleaning, but it is vital that you check the label to make sure the filling does not require this type of care.
Wash your comforter in the washing machine with the water temperature and cycle the label suggests.
Add liquid fabric softener to the machine in the proper receptacle; dryer sheets may cause spotting on the fabric. Many standard washing machines hold a twin or full-sized comforter adequately. If your comforter is larger, often it is necessary to take it to a laundromat to wash it thoroughly and to prevent damage to your washer.
Dry the comforter on the temperature the care label suggests. Remove the comforter from the dryer as soon as the time is up to prevent wrinkling.
