How to Care for a Cowichan Sweater

Cowichan sweaters have long been made by Native Americans, hand knitted using traditional techniques and raw sheep's wool.   Drain the water and rinse the sweater twice with lukewarm water. Squeeze as much water as possible out of the sweater.

  Lay the sweater between two towels and roll the towels tightly to squeeze out any excess water from the sweater.

  Lay the sweater flat on a towel or dry surface and allow to air dry completely.
