Sand stains can make a jersey appear very dirty and don't wash off easily by simply throwing them in with the regular wash. In order to properly remove a sand stain from a basketball jersey, you will need to penetrate the stain with a formula that breaks the stain apart and allows it to be completely lifted during the washing cycle. Make sure that the stain is removed to your preference before you throw the jersey in the dryer, which will essentially bake any remaining stains into the jersey and make it nearly impossible to remove in the future.
