Instructions

    • 1

Blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel as soon as possible. Place the garment with the stain side down on a clean cloth. Use a damp cloth or sponge to gently dab the back side of the stain from the outside to the center. Work from the outside in to prevent the stain from spreading and becoming larger.

    • 2

Dab some hydrogen peroxide on the stain with a clean white cloth or sponge. If this doesn't remove the stain immediately, allow the hydrogen peroxide to sit on the garment for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

    • 3

Fill a sink or small bucket with warm water and a few drops of dish detergent. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the warm soapy water and spot clean the garment. Gently clean the stain without tugging the garment. For larger stains, submerse the garment in the soapy water and wash by hand. Rinse thoroughly and allow the shirt to air dry.

Put warm water in a bowl and add ¼ of lemon juice and ½ of baking soda to the water. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the water and dab it on to the stain. Rinse the shirt with warm water and let it air dry.

    • 5

Remove ink stains with rubbing alcohol. Place the ink stained garment on a clean surface with an old cloth underneath to catch any ink transfer. Blot the stain with a clean sponge and alcohol, and rinse thoroughly. Allow the shirt to air dry.

    • 6

Remove mud or oil stains with white vinegar. Apply a generous amount to the stain and rub it in with a clean sponge. Rinse the shirt and allow it to air dry.
